Seashells Cosmos – 100 Seed Pack
Cosmos bipinnatus | Softly Ruffled Petals in Mixed Pastels
If ever a flower looked like it had been sculpted by the tide and left to dry in the sun, it’s Seashells Cosmos. Each bloom curls inward like a delicate flute, petals gently rolled into tubular ribbons that catch the light and give bouquets a graceful, airy texture.
This romantic mix includes soft blush pinks, shell white, rose, and deeper magenta tones, all centered with warm golden eyes. The plants grow tall, elegant stems that sway beautifully in the garden and make long-lasting, movement-filled bouquets.
Perfect for cottage gardens, cutting beds, and wildflower borders.

Seed Starting Instructions
Cosmos are wonderfully easy and actually prefer a light touch.
When to Start:
• Direct sow outdoors after danger of frost has passed
• Or start indoors 3–4 weeks before last frost
How to Start Indoors:
- Fill trays with well-draining seed starting mix.
- Lightly press seeds onto the surface and cover with 1/8 inch of soil.
- Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy.
- Germination occurs in 7–10 days at 70–75°F.
- Provide strong light immediately after sprouting.
Transplant outdoors after hardening off once frost risk has passed.
Direct Sowing Instructions
- Prepare a sunny bed with loose, well-drained soil.
- Sow seeds 1/8 inch deep and lightly cover.
- Space 9–12 inches apart (thin once seedlings are established).
- Water gently until established.
Growing Instructions
• Sun: Full sun (6–8+ hours daily)
• Height: 30–48 inches
• Spacing: 9–12 inches
• Bloom Time: Early summer through frost
• Soil: Average to poor soil preferred; avoid heavy fertilizing
Cosmos thrive in lean soil. Too much fertilizer produces lush foliage with fewer blooms.
Pinch young plants at 8–10 inches tall to encourage branching and more flowers. Harvest stems when blooms are just opening for the longest vase life.
For continuous blooms, succession sow every 3–4 weeks.
Seashells Cosmos bring softness and texture to every arrangement. Their petals curve and curl like delicate ribbons, adding a refined yet carefree charm to any cutting garden.
