Description

Strawberry Bon Bon Zinnias produce adorable 1–2 inch mini flowers on long, standard-height stems. Their single rows of petals range from pastel pink and deeper pink to lilac, surrounding a raised center that resembles a tiny strawberry.

These are especially useful as a specialty cut flower. Harvest them as soon as the stems are sturdy because the blooms move to seed quickly and develop a cone shape as they mature.

Packet contains: Approximately 25 seeds (180 mg)

Quick Facts

•
Bloom size: Approximately 1–2 inches

•
Color: Pastel pink, deeper pink, and lilac tones

•
Flower form: Single petals surrounding a strawberry-like center

•
Best for: Specialty cutting gardens and small bouquet accents

Good to know: Zinnias are warm-season, frost-sensitive annuals that respond well to regular cutting. Pinching young plants can encourage branching and more usable stems.

Growing Info

•
Sun: Full sun; plants can appreciate a little protection during intense heat

•
Sowing: May be sown during somewhat cooler conditions than many zinnias, after frost danger has passed

•
Spacing: Approximately 5–6 inches apart so plants lightly shade one another

•
Care: Provide consistent water and nutrition, and harvest frequently

Important breeding note: Strawberry Bon Bon has a very dominant miniature form. We do not recommend planting it near a breeding patch because crosses may strongly resemble this variety.

Flower color and form may vary naturally from plant to plant.
Production note: Zinnias are cut-and-come-again flowers. Pinching when young and harvesting regularly can encourage branching and continued stem production.
