A Little About Our Farm

We believe the best gardens grow a little differently.

Hi, we're glad you're here!

We're a small family-run flower farm in East Texas called Milk & Honey Acreage, and ZinniaSeeds.com is where we get to share what we're growing with you.

We grow all kinds of flowers, but zinnias have become a pretty big part of what we do around here.

What started with growing flowers has turned into experimenting with colors, making our own selections, and seeing what we can create from one season to the next.

One of the things we love about having a small farm is the freedom to follow our curiosity.

If something catches our eye, we can give it a little room to grow and see where it takes us.

And that's probably the best way to describe our farm. We're always growing something, trying something, or coming up with another idea for next season.

A Little About Marion

A lot of our love for growing things goes back to Marion's childhood in California.

Her grandparents had a walnut orchard and a huge garden. She still remembers spending hours under their grape arbor, eating fresh grapes right off the vine.

Her mom was a florist, and Marion loved spending time in the shop watching her arrange flowers.

She's always been an artist at heart, too. Before we started growing flowers, she worked as a designer in the craft industry and loved working with colors, textures, and beautiful things.

That creative side of her is still very much a part of what we do today.

If you spend a little time walking through our zinnia rows with us, you'll probably notice that we don't always stop to admire the biggest or most perfect flowers.

Sometimes it's an unusual color or a flower that's just a little different from everything around it that gets us excited.

And that leads us to one of our favorite parts of growing flowers.

Our Zinnia Breeding Projects

We don't just look at a flower for what it is today.

We look at what it could become.

Some of our breeding projects start with a particular color we'd love to develop. Others begin when something unexpected shows up in the garden and makes us stop for a closer look.

We love experimenting with different shades, flower shapes, and combinations to see what we might discover.

It's not always predictable, and that's part of the fun.

We spend our growing seasons watching, making selections, and deciding which flowers we'd like to work with again.

Sometimes we get exactly what we were hoping for. Other times, something completely unexpected catches our attention.

And because we're a small farm, we have the freedom to explore those little surprises instead of passing them by.

When you browse our shop, you'll find familiar garden favorites alongside some of the varieties and breeding projects we've been working on here at the farm.

Those projects are especially personal to us.

Behind them are seasons of growing, observing, and choosing which flowers we'd like to explore further.

We love getting to share those seeds with other gardeners and flower farmers. It's pretty special knowing that something we've been working on here in East Texas might end up blooming in your garden.

And who knows? Maybe you'll discover a new favorite along the way.
