Mare’s Mix is a personal collection of our favorite zinnias from the 2024 season. This fundraiser pack was created to provide a balanced assortment of the color families and flower forms we especially loved growing on our farm.
Unlike many of our surprise mixes, each packet contains planned proportions from every color group below, with an extra emphasis on the soft pinks we love most.
Packet contains: Approximately 40 open-pollinated seeds
Color Blend
50%: Pastel and muted pinks descended from Crème Brûlée, Rose Tea, and Mauvalous
10%: Favorite whites in several flower forms
10%: Pastel yellow and/or ivory
10%: Pastel peach-pink selections with multitone and multiform potential
10%: La Petite double pastels and super-mini singles
10%: Favorite selections from our Moody patch
The mix may include standard, dahlia, dwarf, cactus, La Petite, and other forms.
Growing Information
Sun: Full sun, ideally 6–8 hours daily
Sowing: Plant about ¼ inch deep after the danger of frost has passed
Spacing: 9–12 inches for good airflow
Care: Consistent water, fertile soil, and regular nutrition help the plants reach their full potential
Breeding note: Seeds were saved from full double mother flowers, but their offspring may still produce double, semidouble, or single blooms. Exact results cannot be guaranteed.
